What is mindset coaching? What does a mindset coach help me work on? 

 

Mindset coaching is all about helping you get crystal clear on what you want and creating the vision to make it possible.

 

You may have limiting beliefs that are holding you back from getting to where you want to go. Anytime you’re wanting to make significant changes in your life it’s important  to look at your current beliefs, behaviors, and habits and how they need to change to get you to the next level. 

 

With mindset coaching you learn how to stop waiting for when the time is right (there’s never a perfect time to start anything) and take steps to make the big moves happen that are going to make positive transformations in your life. 

 

If you’re sitting back and watching life happen, feeling stuck in life, overwhelmed by what you should be doing next, self-sabotaging, and not following through on your goals then mindset coaching is for you.

How do I choose the right mindset coach for me?

 

I would say the biggest thing is to pick a mindset coach that you click with and feel safe with.

 

During your work together you’ll be talking about very personal topics and you’ll want to work with a coach that listens and is able to hold the space for you that you deserve. 

 

All mindset coaches will have different philosophies and techniques so you’ll also want to make sure that you understand what that looks like. 

 

My coaching differs from many other coaches because not only are we talking about strategy and goals but we will also address your mindset as well as do somatic work.

 

Many of our beliefs, emotions, and memories are held in the body and I have found the most success with my clients when we address all three holistically. This sets you up for success in the long run and will give you tools that you can return to over and over again.

 

How long does it typically take to see results from mindset coaching?

 

This can really differ from person to person and what they’re working on but you will start to see some type of results almost immediately as long as you’re taking action and putting in the work.

 

I always remind people that while a lot of the work is happening behind the scenes (through your subconscious mind) and you will still need to get uncomfortable and decide to show up differently in your life. 

 

A lot of the subconscious work such as regulating your nervous system, working on your limiting beliefs, and changing your map of the world usually begins to show itself around 3 months of our work together.

 

It happens slowly over time so typically people will come back to me after a few months and tell me, “Oh my gosh! I used to get so angry when X happened and not be able to function but this time I handled the situation so smoothly and problem solved quickly.”

 

Ultimately this is what we want to see - that you’re being to create new habits and they come naturally to you.

 

How is having a mindset coach different from having a therapist? 

 

Many people that I work with always joke that I’m basically a therapist, and while mindset coaching and therapy do have a lot in common there are also some key main differences between the two . 

 

Let me start by saying that I am not knocking therapy at all.

 

I think it’s so important and is crucial for our mental health.

 

One of the biggest things that I hear from clients that I work with is that they felt they could only get so far in therapy.

 

Many times they were just talking about what was going on in therapy sessions but not actually changing their beliefs, habits, and behaviors which is what happens and the biggest focus when you work with a mindset coach. Many of them also didn’t want to talk about the past anymore and wanted to move forward in their life.

 

While we do touch on the past in mindset coaching we don’t dive in and make you relive these experiences, my coaching is very focused on the future and how you want to move forward. 

 

Another large difference in mindset coaching is that we are looking at your unique blueprint or map of the world (how your brain is wired from childhood based on your unique experiences, who raised you, school, social media, etc) and we changing your map so that you are able to be more positive, growth-oriented, and show up in the world as your best self. 

 

I’m an entrepreneur…why would investing in a mindset coach be helpful? 

 

Being an entrepreneur is probably one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life. 

 

I had no clue what I was doing, I’ve faced judgment from people who just don’t understand, and I’ve had to face my own s*** and do the deep inner work so I would stop doubting my abilities and start playing all out.

 

Not to mention that I had to learn over and over again that failure is just feedback.

 

It will take falling on your face many times and learning to get back up again.

 

It’s the entrepreneurs that learn and master this that will never give up, no matter what is thrown in their face that have the most success with their business.

How do I start showing up as my highest self?

 

The concept of the "highest self" is often rooted in spiritual and philosophical traditions. It generally refers to an idealized or transcendent version of oneself, embodying the highest qualities, virtues, and wisdom..or simply put your BEST self. Different belief systems may have varying interpretations of the highest self.

 

In psychological and self-help contexts, the idea of the highest self can be linked to self-actualization or personal growth. It might involve reaching one's full potential, achieving a state of inner harmony, and expressing the best qualities of one's character. When you’re being your highest self you’re living in true alignment.

 

Ultimately, the notion of the highest self is subjective and can be understood in different ways depending on cultural, spiritual, or personal perspectives. Some people might view it in a spiritual or metaphysical sense, while others may see it as a psychological or self-improvement concept.

 

For me, I see my highest self as the future version of myself that I want to be.

 

When I’m making important decisions I always want to look toward my highest self for guidance because I want to live in alignment with the most authentic, best version of myself.

 

I often ask myself, "Am I honoring my highest self by making this decision?" - more than once this question has helped guide my path and also helped me with procrastination too. 

 

If you want to start showing up as your highest self it’s important to have a clear vision on where exactly you want to go.

 

Once you’ve gotten clear on your goals and where you want to go in life you’ll want to figure out who you need to be and how you need to show up in your life.

Can mindset coaching help with my mental health? 

 

The simple answer…yes, it can.

 

My own journey to becoming a life and mindset coach started because I had thrown myself into my corporate job, had zero work/life balance, and my mental and physical health were struggling. 

 

I was burnt out and had completely lost myself to my job.

 

I was floating through life feeling completely unfulfilled. One day I was sitting in the breakroom eating this pathetic salad that I made trying to be “healthy” and had a moment where I thought, “This can not be as good as life gets…there has to be more.” 

 

As soon as I started going back to the gym, eating healthier, creating boundaries and balance, diving back into things I loved to do, my mental health improved immensely. 

 

Many of my clients are struggling because they have lost their own identity and need to find boundaries and balance in their own lives again.

 

As soon as they start getting selfish (which is a good thing!) and prioritizing themselves their mental health greatly improves.

 

I will say that there is a time and place for medication and there will be some things that coaching just won’t help with. I encourage anyone who feels like they need medication to seek it out and use coaching as well because it will still benefit many areas of your life. 

 

What is it like working with you as a mindset coach? 

 

Umm…it’s amazing! 

 

Okay, but in all seriousness I think everyone should work with a life and mindset coach at some point in their life.

 

The majority of our programming/map of the world is created from the ages of 0 to 7 years old. I always ask people…do you want 7-year-old you running the rest of your life?! I would hope your answer is no.

 

When I work with my clients we usually work for 4 or 6 months together (when you sign up for 6 months of coaching you get an in-person VIP weekend with me!!) and we meet weekly or biweekly for 60 minutes. Outside of the calls my clients have text and email access to me so that they have support throughout the week. 

 

After doing an intake session I create a custom plan for each of my 1:1 clients because no two clients are the same.

 

During our sessions we cover a variety of topics - sometimes my clients have something important they want to work through and I will also have an agenda of items that I want to accomplish during our time together.

Why is a mindset coach important?

 

Mindset coaching is for the people who feel stuck in their life and are not living up to their full potential.

 

It’s for people who want to do the deeper healing work and not let their current thoughts, beliefs, and habits run their life. 

 

I think we can all agree that we’ve had moments in our lives where we’re in a slump and don’t know how to get out of it. Sometimes the hardest part is self-reflecting and following through on the new actions and thoughts you need to have to move forward in your life.
